A networking session, a festival, and a cyborg helmet hackathon to see you through the week ahead:
DAQRI Smart Helmet hackathon, DCU Innovation Campus, June 19-20th
Designed as the worlds first wearable human machine interface, DAQRIs smart helmet is a wearable computer designed for the industrial workforce. If you think that all sounds a bit sci-fi (and it does…) youre not alone: read more about how it turns a workforce into Robocops here. If you want to join our brave new cyborg future, however, we recommend you sign up to this weekend-long hackathon
Body and Soul, Ballinlough Castle, June 19-21st
The Irish festival season rolls on with one of our slightly more chilled-out gatherings:
with a lineup including Super Furry Animals, Leftfield, Dan Deacon and MMOTHS, the walled garden at historical Ballinlough is the ideal place to see in the Summer Solstice. Tickets are like gold dust, but if you know someone who knows someone then youre in for a weekend to remember.
TecXposé, IBM Technology Campus, June 23rd
Aimed at female entrepreneurs, business owners, marketers, investors and more, TecXposés theme is building the dream. Expect talks on design thinking and how to use social media to spread the word, as well as a spot of networking over breakfast.
And let’s not forget the biggest Dublin Tech event of the weekend:
