Moment of Zen Change Education DublinGlobe.com

Today’s snapshot from the centre of the universe.

Education in Ireland is embracing entrepreneurship thanks to the work of people like James Whelton, co founder of CoderDojo, Mary-Liz Trant of the HEA, university programs like Launchbox at Trinity and UStart at DCU, and strong engagement from local companies and multinationals like Bank of Ireland and EY. There’s also a strong Irish Student Enterpreneurship Forum called the ISEF.
In Ireland, graduates traditionally seek professional experience before breaking out on their own, but speaking to Niamh Bushnell, Mary-Liz  says that 740 graduates started businesses directly out of university in 2014, a massive jump from 2013, and the figures for 2015 will be even higher.
