This weekend’s must-read: The Sunday Business Post’s profile of Irish software success story Teamwork. We’ve got an exclusive preview of SBP Business Editor Tom Lyons’ visit to Teamwork’s Cork headquarters, and interview with co-founders Peter Coppinger and Dan Mackey (pictured).
100% Irish owned, project management platform specialists Teamwork currently have over 1.5M users across the globe; their client list includes everyone from Aston Martin and Spotify to Pixar. They’ve just launched a new customer support system, Teamwork Desk.
In Lyons’ piece, Coppinger reveals that the company regularly receives approaches from billion dollar venture capital funds “They give us bullshit,” he says. “The value network we provide… Coppinger laughs. We know exactly what to do and we have millions in the bank to do it.
Elsewhere, founder Coppinger outlines their ambition: We are going to $100 million or bust, he says. It is printed on the wall.
These figures are achievable. We are two developers and we love what we do, he added. Money isnt the motivator. It is about doing what youre proud of. I dont want to ever sell out.
