SaaS company Absorb Technology has announced today that they are opening a European operations hub in the centre of Dublin, which will create 12 new jobs.
A subsidiary of Blatant Media, Absorb Technology’s Dublin branch will focus on sales and support for the European market, as well as supporting Absorb LMS clients around the world. Job openings are to be posted immediately for three client advocate/support positions–look out for them on jobs.ie.
Absorb initially looked to Britain, Spain and France as possible locations before choosing Dublin, impressed by our tech infrastructure and track record with attracting international tech giants.
They were also brought here through the ConnectIreland scheme which rewards those who bring foreign companies looking to expand internationally to Ireland. It is part of the Irish government’s Action Plan for Jobs, and was responsible for the Government’s Succeed in Ireland initiative. Michael McLoughlin, CEO of ConnectIreland, said: “The fact that Absorb Ireland chose Ireland over a number of other countries they were looking at is testament to the great reputation that Ireland has abroad.”
Who are Absorb?
Absorb is an LMS, or learning management system; software used for administration, tracking and delivery of electronic educational resources used in courses or training programmes. It was created by Blatant Media, an award-winning e-learning company based in Calgary, Canada. The Absorb platform is used by clients including IMAX, New York University, Hootsuite and Adobe Software Systems. Founded in 2003, they launched Absorb in 2007, and by 2014 it was being used by over 500 organisations worldwide.
The Dublin branch will be Absorb’s second office.
