A snapshot from the Centre Of The Universe. You’re welcome.

Pictured: Man on Bridge is a photo collection project that gathers the photos and tells the story of Arthur Fields, a street photographer who captured passersby on Dublin’s O’Connell Bridge from the 1930s to the 1980s.

Arthur took hundreds of thousands of photos throughout his career, but no negatives survived. The Man On Bridge project asked the public to sumbit photos from their personal collections, creating a fascinating alternative photographic archive of Dublin city itself. The pictures have since been collected in a book, and Fields was recently the subject of an acclaimed TV documentary. The archive continues to expand. Maybe your granny has a snap?
