Today’s Dublin Factoid: The building of Dublin’s Convention Centre involved Ireland’s biggest ever pour of concrete, in April 2008. 6000 tonnes (that’s the same weight as 2000 hippos) of low-carbon cement from Ecocem was poured lasting over 16 hours, helping make the building the first ever carbon-neutral convention centre in the world.
