Today’s Dublin Factoid: Dublin’s Docklands area – which stretches across both sides of the River Liffey plays home to the capital’s IFSC (International Financial Services Centre) and a series of major venues, amongst them the 3 Arena, The Bord Gais Energy Theatre and the Dublin Convention Centre. These days, they’re calling it the Silicon Docks, due to the presence in the area of any number of tech multinationals (Google, Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Airbnb) as well as Irish startups like Storyful.
