Your Dublin Moment Of Zen 19/03/15

Statue of Philip Lynott

A snapshot from the centre of the universe.

Pictured: Statue of Philip Lynott (1949 – 1986), Ireland’s greatest rock star, standing watch over his beloved Bruxelles bar, on Harry Street.

Today’s Dublin Factoid: James Joyce wrote in Ulysses “Good puzzle would be cross Dublin without passing a pub.”  This Joycean quandary was finally solved in 2011 by software developer Rory McCann, who developed an algorithm to chart a pub-free route through Dublin’s streets. Find it HERE.
