Today’s Dublin Factoid: The MGM Lion was a Dubliner. Fact. On March 20, 1927, Cairbre The Lion (pictured here, later renamed Slats) was born in Dublin Zoo, and went on to international fame as the first of several lions to feature in the iconic logo of MGM film studios. And, contrary to urban legend, no – he did not kill his trainer.

Today’s Dublin Tech Factoid:  Dublin-based companies accounted for €253m of disclosed venture-backed tech investments last year – double the amount of the rest of the country combined. Read more HERE.
