Mapping Dublin’s tech ecosystem, one human at a time.
“We’re an Irish business, and there’s a great set of resources in Dublin, from accelerators, to incubators, to investors, to developers – there’s a really good talent pool coming out of the universities right now. There’s also a great network, which if you’re smart enough you can leverage to get to where you need to go to. What makes Dublin unique? It’s a middle ground between Europe and the US – we can go east if necessary, go west if necessary, it feels like you’re smack in the centre of the tech world, and that’s great positioning.
We’re based in Rathmines, it’s a great old spot – we moved here about a year ago, and there are a couple of other companies around us now, the Web Summit are close by, and CurrencyFair are just down the road. We’re a little bit away from the spotlight, but very near to town, and a lot of our guys live in the neighbourhood, it’s very convenient. That’s one of my favourite things about it: I walk to work, I walk to town, I walk everywhere. You can’t really do that in a lot of cities. I like the manageable size of Dublin.”
