Content Editor – Intercom:
At Intercom we believe passionately in the power of good content – blog posts, contributed articles, books, podcasts and infographics – both to inform our customers and confirm our position as thought leaders in our space.
We are looking for an enthusiastic detail-oriented writer/editor to join the small team responsible for creating that content. You will be working closely with our Managing Editor who has over 20 years experience in print, online and broadcast media but will get the opportunity to work across all functions at a rapidly growing startup. Inside Intercom is not just another corporate blog. Its a publication about startups, design, product management, customer success pretty much anything thats likely to concern the type of people who use the Intercom product.
We have big ideas about how content can help Intercom grow even faster and want to hire someone who is excited by the opportunity to work at a software startup. The key traits for this role are great writing skills and an interest in how software is changing the world.
As a content editor you will:
-Have an obsessive attention to detail (bad grammar bothers you).
-Be as passionate about helping others communicate their ideas effectively, as you are about writing your own articles.
-Work closely with other Intercomrades, including the leadership team, to write and edit practical but thought provoking articles.
-Be comfortable working as part of a small team and managing your time efficiently.
-Think visually and be able to effectively brief designers to turn those ideas into engaging graphics.
-Be able to identify industry leaders to contribute to our blog or be interviewed on our podcast.
