Your week ahead, in choice tech (and non-tech) related happenings…
Silicon Drinkabout, Friday 21st August, Venue TBC, 6PM:
As Dublin tech gatherings go, the Drinkabout is the stuff of legend – a weekly meet-up for startups (including techies, designers and business folk) to meet like-minded people, have some fun and relax at the end of the working week. NB: Check @drinkaboutdub for this week’s location.
Secret Stories Walking Tour, Saturday 21st August, Science Gallery, 12PM & 3PM:
From patterns found every day to the traffic surveillance that makes our city flow, this tour explores the secrets that make up the fabric of the city and investigates what makes the city tick. With tales exposing espionage, spying and underground tunnels, Secret Stories delves into the lesser known side of Dublin and examines the concept of secrecy within the confines of the city.
Bernard Shaw Flea Market, Sunday August 23rd, The Bernard Shaw, 1-6PM:
Good vibes, amazing bargains on vintage clothes and records, drinks deals and lovely pizza from the Big Blue Bus: the Flea is one of our favourite chilled-out ways to spend a summer Sunday in Dublin. And just in case you were wondering, yes, were still waiting for the summer to turn up.

After an extended hiatus, Startup Grind makes a welcome return to Dublin for fireside chats with Alan Coleman, founder of Brite:Bill, the Irish billing startup whose clients include telecom giants Sprint, Vodafone, TMobile, UPC and Meteor. Also: there will be networking.
