The Startup Gathering is officially in full effect.
After a successful Dublin day yesterday, the rest of the week sees the Gathering go nationwide. You can find a full list of events HERE.
We’ve selected three noteworthy happenings this Thursday and Friday in Cork, Galway and Donegal.

JCI Galway introduces TECHGATE, a new technology expo promoting and highlighting the wealth of businesses in this ever-growing section in the West of Ireland. TECHGATE will have three different pillars at the event: the Expo, the Talks and the Awards. The night will include some of leading startups from the region, as well as established technology companies showcasing their products and brands. There will be a series of Tech Talks, with speakers including Naomi Freeman (Treehouse), Marl Campbell (Pocket Anatomy) and Jani Hirvonen (Google). Finally, there will be a series of Interactive Technology Awards, which are nominated and voted for by the public and will be given out on the night.

IT Sligo, Ibec and LYIT host the Donegal Startup Gathering event, based on the concept of Start, Scale, Succeed. Guests will hear from three companies based in Donegal who are at the three distinct stages of business, startup, scaling up and success: Jenni Timony, owner of Maven Marketing, Paul McNulty, founder of 3D Issue and Liam Curley, Site Director of Abbott Diabetes Care. Each of these company founders will be sharing their wisdom, tips and insights on the challenges and opportunities for North West-based businesses in 2015. The event also includes a panel discussion and opportunity for questions from the audience.

IIBN (Irish International Business Network) Ireland and Cork Innovates present IIBN’s inaugural South West Ireland event, an afternoon of insight and discussion with business people from the South West who have started and scaled businesses at home and abroad, followed by an informal networking session. Speakers will include Minister For Diaspora Affairs Jimmy Deenihan, Ovation Incentives Founder and CEO Jonathan Grey and Alimentary Health Operations Director Jenny Roper.
